With less than two weeks remaining until the crowning of a new world champion, FIFA and adidas have unveiled the TRIONDA FINAL – the official match ball designated exclusively for the semi-finals, third-place play-off, and final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
For the first time in FIFA World Cup history, adidas has moved beyond a traditional colour update, introducing a dedicated design that reflects the magnitude of the tournament’s closing matches. The TRIONDA FINAL represents a historic departure from convention, reserved specifically for football’s biggest stage.
Design Inspired by Football’s Ultimate Prize
The TRIONDA FINAL features a premium design in gold, white, and black. A luxurious gold finish directly references the iconic FIFA World Cup Trophy, set against a dramatic black base that elevates the ball’s look and feel. Dynamic accents of pink and red inject energy into the design while creating a visual link to the footwear worn on the pitch.
Building on the TRIONDA Official Match Ball unveiled in October 2025, the TRIONDA FINAL evolves the design while maintaining the same performance-driven construction that has defined the tournament. The ball retains the same four-panel construction, panel shape, and surface structure as its predecessor, ensuring identical performance on the pitch from the opening match through to the final whistle.
A Celebration of 16 Host Cities
Uniquely, the TRIONDA FINAL celebrates the 16 iconic Host Cities that have welcomed the world for the biggest FIFA World Cup ever staged. The four cities hosting the decisive matches – Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, and New York New Jersey – are prominently featured within the main blocking of the design. The remaining host cities – Boston, Guadalajara, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Monterrey, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver – are incorporated within triangular graphic elements, ensuring their significant contributions are recognised right through to the final whistle.
Cutting-Edge Technology
The TRIONDA FINAL carries the latest evolution of adidas Connected Ball Technology, delivering precise ball data in real time to support faster decision-making by match officials while enhancing insights into the game. The ball is engineered with intentionally deep seams and strategically placed surface textures, supporting optimal aerodynamics and flight stability.
“The TRIONDA FINAL is Here”
FIFA President Gianni Infantino hailed the unveiling as a milestone moment.
“The TRIONDA FINAL ball for the last four matches of the FIFA World Cup is here,” Infantino said. “The iconic TRIONDA has brought so much joy every time it has hit the back of the net in this FIFA World Cup, and it perfectly embodies the unity and passion of the tournament’s host nations – Canada, Mexico, and the United States.”
“For the final four matches of the tournament, this TRIONDA FINAL will be at the feet of the best players on the planet. Through every touch, dribble, flick, pass, cross, save, strike, and goal, the 16 cities that have helped FIFA stage the record-breaking 23rd edition of the tournament will be further etched into FIFA World Cup folklore.”
Availability
The TRIONDA FINAL Official Match Ball is priced at €160 (approximately $170 USD) and will be available for purchase from 10 AM CEST on July 7, 2026, through adidas retail, selected retailers, and online at adidas.com.
The Road to Glory
The semi-finals are scheduled for July 14 and 15 in Dallas and Atlanta, with the third-place play-off set for July 18 in Miami, and the grand final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New York New Jersey. As the tournament’s final four teams battle for immortality, the TRIONDA FINAL will be the ball at the centre of every historic moment – from the first touch of the semi-finals to the trophy-lifting celebration that will define a generation.
